FROM THE READER TO THE RECORDING

A card tap.
A story you can see.

Access logs tell you what happened.
EntrySlate gives that event a place in your video workflow.

  1. 01

    A door event happens.

A card is used at a door or gate. GeoVision sends the person, reader, time, and result to your site’s EntrySlate webhook.

  2. 02

    We make it readable.

EntrySlate builds a short video card with the key details and sends a motion event through your site’s virtual camera.

  3. 03

    Review it in Protect.

Once the virtual camera is adopted, Protect records the card as a motion clip. Search the event details in EntrySlate when you need to dig deeper.

Built for GeoVision webhook events and Protect’s ONVIF camera adoption. Your setup needs to support both.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few clear
answers.

Know what fits before you connect.

What is an access event camera?

It’s a virtual camera that shows a video card when a door or gate event arrives. The card displays the person, door, time, and result. It adds context to your recordings; it does not capture physical camera footage.

What do I need to connect?

A GeoVision setup that can send webhook events, a provisioned EntrySlate account, and a UniFi Protect setup that supports third-party ONVIF camera adoption. Your admin creates a site and supplies its webhook URL and camera login. Confirm a real event and camera adoption with your own equipment during setup.

Can I search names inside Protect?

Protect records the card as a motion clip. Names and door details are part of the video image, not searchable Protect metadata. Use the EntrySlate access log to search names and doors, filter by site, or export records.

How long are access events kept?

The EntrySlate access log defaults to 90 days. Your admin can set a retention period for each client. Protect’s video retention is separate and follows your Protect settings.

How do I get an account?

Accounts are set up by an EntrySlate administrator. If your organization already uses EntrySlate, ask your admin for access. On your first sign-in, you’ll choose a new password and set up an authenticator app.
